Red Tail with Hundreds of Cactus Thorns on his Talons

This juvenile red tail came from. Cactus forrest, Arizona. This area is known to have a lot of cholla. He hung out on a property owners back porch for days u til they called us to pick him up. They did let him rest and offered a heavy pan of water but the cactus thorns were so bad he could not even pick up food if his parents put it in front of him and he needed hell getting them out. Always create less suffering g when you van. This bird is very skinny and also dehydrated. He will be transfered to a licensed wildlife rehab facility in the morning for a full medical evaluation and more specialized care.
